Who wants an ordinary desk when you can get an adjustable one? I’ll tell you who – artists. Creating art on a flat surface can lead to incorrect proportions and distortion, as well as being more or a strain on your back, constantly hunched over to view your work.
Adjustable desks are the perfect solution and make the process so much more enjoyable and efficient – they are built with artists/graphic designers in mind! Plus they have so much storage for all of your beloved art supplies.
Here’s a list of the top 6 best adjustable desks on the market. These range from beginner to professional level, but each one has it’s own style and functionality.

Both the angle and height can be adjusted to suit your needs.
It has 4 wheels for easy moving, which can also be locked into place – very handy!
At the remarkable price £85 it’s one of the cheapest desks on the list, but it’s affordability doesn’t effect its quality.Â
Overall it’s a great, durable adjustable desk that’s afforable and stylish – perfect for beginners and professionals alike.Â

With two mesh wire drawers, a side desk organiser, and a wide under-desk tray, storage will not be a problem.
The side organiser has an auto-levelling pencil holder which I absolutely love.Â
The angle of the tabletop can be adjusted to 9 positions, and the height can also be adjusted (to 6 positions).Â
It also has a pull-out tray at the side and a comfortable foam stool is included.Â
For people willing to pay the slightly higher price, you won’t regret it.

3. Yaheetech Adjustable Artist's Desk
Yaheetech Adjustable Artist’s Desk | £83.99 (current sale price, reduced from £105.99)
I’m a firm believer in simplicity, and this desk proves my point. It has an adjustable tabletop that can be adjusted between 0 and 60 degrees, 3 nonwoven drawers, a bottom storage shelf, and a stool. No side containers, but a simple solid tabletop.
This is one of the cheapest desks on this list at just over £80, and the quality is crazy for that price.Â
The desk is made out of steel and has anti-skid pads on each leg, as well as an adjustable pencil ledge.
As you can see from the picture, it looks stunning in any room.
I’m very confused about how they can price it so low, but somehow they do.Â
A high-quality, stable adjustable desk, especially perfect for anyone on a budget.

2. SABA-TP Adjustable Artist's Desk
SABA-TP Tempered-Glass Artist’s Desk | £174.99

Also included is a comfortable, high-quality stool, as well as 8 clips for securing your paper or reminders to the desk, which is a nice addition.
At over £170 it’s on the pricier side, but if you can afford it, the sheer quality, style and functionality of this beast of a desk makes it well worth the price.
You can’t put a price on making your artistic process so much more enjoyable each and every time you sit down to draw.

1. Costoffs Adjustable Glass Artist's Desk
Costoffs Adjustable Glass Artist’s Desk | £109.49
This exceptional desk consists of a powder-coated steel frame with a black finish, and a tempered glass tabletop. You can see for yourself just how sleek and professional it looks.Â
In terms of functionality, the angle of the desk can be adjusted to 5 different angles, and the height of the desk can also be adjusted to 6 different heights, which is perfect for getting the exact right height.Â
The comfortable foam-padded stool is covered with high quality leather and has strong, metal legs. It’s usually overlooked how important it is to have a good, solid stool to work with.
On one side there’s a retractable table, and on the other there are a number of containers to hold whatever supplies you’re using.
I love the top container because (like the Foula desk) it has an auto-levelling pencil holder (i.e. no spilled pencils!).
As for storage, this desk has two nice wire mesh drawers, and a long storage tray underneath that’s super-useful for storing bits and pieces you have like brushes, small paints, tape etc. – basically anything not worthy enough for those precious top drawers!
Overall this desk is solid, ergonomic, functional, and just looks awesome. Adjustable desks like this make you feel more professional and actually encourage you to take your work even more seriously.Â
Funnily enough, this is one of the cheaper desks on this list at just under £110, which is an unbelievable price for its astounding quality and design.
This desk has 4.8/5 stars on Amazon.co.uk, and you’ll see why if you get it.

Things to remember!
When I first found out about adjustable desks I got so excited, but was also skeptical about whether or not they would live up to their look. Long story short – they do.Â
And at only a little more of a cost than a boring old regular desk, it’s really a no-brainer for any artist looking to buy one!
